So That was March 2020

So That was March 2020

What a month. A difficult month for us, but in retrospect it’s possibly been a lot better for us than for many other people in the world.

Our plan was to drive down to Italy on the 10th, stopping at friends along the way. As we approached the date, we were looking at news coming out, and decided on the 8th that it wasn’t in our best interests to make the drive.  Shortly after that, Italy initiated their total lockdown, to be followed shortly by similar measures here in France. We’re now in our 3rd week of restrictions.

The forward situation is unclear, to say the least. We’re making the best of it – obviously we’re “closed for business” at the very least until France lifts the restrictions, but food is available in the shops, and we are able to walk every day in some amazingly scenic landscapes.  Every day we recognise how fortunate we are.

Right now it’s all about getting through to the point where the world comes back to normal, and looking ahead, if you are planning to get away from it all when you emerge from the cave, send us an email (This email address is being protected from spambots.
